Obituary of Chandra Brooke Metz

Chandra Brooke Metz, age 26, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, December 16, 2024, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born March 23, 1998, in Morgantown, a daughter of Mack and Judith Payne Metz, both of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Corey Williams and fiancée Shawna Smith of Buckhannon; special nephews, Aiden Collins and Lincoln Williams both of Buckhannon; special niece, Lainey Williams of Buckhannon; fiancée, Joshua Alderman of Buckhannon and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Chandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Ava Mae Alderman; paternal grandmother, Sally Metz; paternal grandfather, Bernard Metz; maternal grandfather, Mason Payne and maternal grandmother, Ruth Ann Payne.  Chandra was a Room Attendant at the Hampton Inn in Weston. Friends will be received Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. In honoring Chandra’s wishes, she will be cremated after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
