Chandra Brooke Metz, age 26, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, December 16, 2024, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born March 23, 1998, in Morgantown, a daughter of Mack and Judith Payne Metz, both of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Corey Williams and fiancée Shawna Smith of Buckhannon; special nephews, Aiden Collins and Lincoln Williams both of Buckhannon; special niece, Lainey Williams of Buckhannon; fiancée, Joshua Alderman of Buckhannon and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Chandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Ava Mae Alderman; paternal grandmother, Sally Metz; paternal grandfather, Bernard Metz; maternal grandfather, Mason Payne and maternal grandmother, Ruth Ann Payne. Chandra was a Room Attendant at the Hampton Inn in Weston. Friends will be received Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. In honoring Chandra’s wishes, she will be cremated after the service.
