Obituary of Linda Sue Warner

Linda Sue Warner, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024, peacefully in her sleep. She was born August 11, 1943, in Buckhannon, the daughter of the late Granville and Patricia (Dean) Malcomb.  On November 17, 1963, she married Leroy Arthur Warner who preceded her in death just weeks ago.  Also surviving are: one son, Leroy A. Warner, Jr (Carol Barr) of Buckhannon, one daughter, Amy Hiltner (Donald Hiltner) of Buckhannon; four grandchildren, Dennis Warner (Brandy Warner) of Little Birch, Patrick Warner (Shyann Anderson) of Rock Cave, Kaitlin Hiltner-Clark (Jonathan Clark) of Buckhannon), Caleb Hiltner (Summer Hiltner) of Buckhannon; five great-grandsons, Quinton Warner (Aubrey Warner) of Lexington, South Carolina, Derby Tompkins (Erica Classen) of Batesburg, South Carolina, Seth Warner of Little Birch, West Virginia, Elijah Warner of Rock Cave, West Virgina, Jaxson Warner of Rock Cave, West Virgina, Liam Hiltner-Clark of Buckhannon, WV, Leo Clark of Buckhannon, WV, and one great-great grandson, Derby Boudreaux Tompkins, Jr.; one brother, Melvin Malcomb of Pennsylvania and Brother-in-law Jim Crites of Phillipi, West Virginia, a (sister) Kay Stout (Roger Stout) of Weston, West Virgina.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Hazel Crites, Shirley Miller, Jean Mann, and Ann Iser, a brother, Junior Malcomb. Linda and Leroy were married a long 61 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Linda was a beautician for most of her life and enjoyed cutting and styling the kids and grandkids hair as well. She was an avid shopper who enjoyed shopping for the “finer” things. In honoring Mrs. Warner’s wishes, she will be cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
