untitled1 Charles Wesley Schoolcraft Charles Wesley Schoolcraft, age 77, of French Creek, WV died Monday, December 21, 2009 at his home. He was born October 27, 1932 in Gallaway, WV, a son of the late Ollie O. and Gay Brady Schoolcraft. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one step daughter, Lisa Stackpole; one sister, Jessica Harvey McNemar and one brother, Greyson Schoolcraft. He is survived by his companion, Margaret M. (Christian) Hulett of French Creek; three sons, Ben Schoolcraft and wife Cathy of NC, Mark Schoolcraft and wife Amanda of Port Republic, VA and Paul W. Schoolcraft and wife Trisha of Buckhannon; two daughters, Tina Tenney of Lumberport, WV and Hollie Clark and husband of WV; step daughter, Robin Stackpole of Buckhannon and fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Schoolcraft was a coal miner for Dola Mines. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Thursday, December 24, 2009 from 11 AM – 1 PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Talbott Cemetery at Talbott, WV. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion and Chapters # 5 & 36 DAV will conduct Military Honors at the gravesite. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the family for funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
