Tya Kay Anderson-Lenix, age 28, of Fairmont, WV, died Sunday, August 18, 2024, in Fairmont. She was born December 5, 1995, in Alliance, OH, a daughter of Judy Anderson Bennett of Philippi, WV and the late Lee Roy Bennett, Jr. On May 11, 2022, she married Lenwood Lenix, Sr. of Fairmont who survives. In addition to her mother and husband she is survived by two daughters, Tyanna Anderson-Lenix and Letia Lenix; one step-daughter, Neeka Penn of Columbus, OH; two step-sons, Lenwood Lenix, Jr. and J.T. Lenix both of Youngstown, PA; five grandsons; three great-granddaughters; three brothers, Xzavier Anderson and Isaiah and Owen Bennett; three sisters, Madalynn Bennett and Michelle and Cece Currie and her grandmother, Wanda Bennett of Buckhannon. Tya was a Buddhist by faith and a home healthcare worker. She loved doing nails and was currently enrolled in cosmetology school. Tya was full of personality and would light up a room as soon as she walked in. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received for a visitation on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 1 PM to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. In honoring Tya’s wishes, she will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
