Obituary of Charles Rodney Nuzum

Charles Rodney Nuzum, age 76, of Volga, WV, died Friday, June 14, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. He was born October 5, 1947, in Bridgeport, WV, a son of the late Jehu Ross and Gladys Workman Nuzum. On September 11, 1976, he married Marie Rauscher who preceded him in death on April 26, 2020. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Randall Nuzum. He is survived by one brother, Gary Nuzum of Buckhannon; two nephews, John Nuzum of Buckhannon and Jay Nuzum of Dallas, TX and two nieces, Kavrina Kelley and husband Dave of Buckhannon and Jena Brock and husband James of Frisco, TX. Mr. Nuzum was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a welder by trade and a Baptist by faith. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 1 PM at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton, WV with Rev. Wease L. Day officiating.
