Emma Elizabeth Cutright, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born February 18, 1946, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Roy Clayton and Dolly Jessie Humphrey Summers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Red Cutright; one daughter, Karen Ann Phipps; one son, Timothy Ray Huffman; six siblings, Basil Humphry, Roy, David, Russell, and Jerry Summers, and Rebecca Flannery. She is survived by one grandson, Timothy Ray Huffman, Jr.; six siblings, Andrew Phillip Summers and wife Anne of Louisville, KY, Helen Summers of Buckhannon, Janet Lough of MD, Teddy Summers and wife Cathy of Buckhannon, Vickie Oldaker of Weston, WV and John Summers of Volga, WV; several nieces and nephews; special daughter, Ora Shepheard of Buckhannon and special friend, Linda Walker of Buckhannon. Mrs. Cutright was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved playing Bingo and enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center. Friends will be received Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Camp Church Cemetery at French Creek, WV. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
