I worked at Brighton Gardens where Jo was the administrator. She was excellent administrator to work for. I was the Santa for the residents for several years. Jo left and went to Annapolis to be their administrator. In 2008 I moved to Forest Hill to Dixie Meadown over 55 community. I was unpacking when I noticed a lady walking a dog and thought she looked familiar. I saw which house she went into and walked to that house. I knocked on the door and It was Jo. I said you looked familiar but the thing that convinced me was the dog. She had a picture of Chewy on her desk at Brighton Gardens of Towson. Small world. It was great having her as a neighbor and friend. Jo remembered the Santa gig I did and convinced me to do it again in Annapolis. I did it for a few years and really enjoyed it. Jo went all out for Christmas with the resident's party at her facility. Jo moved from Forest to take up residence in Annapolis because the commute from Forest Hill was time consuming and having to deal with the traffic. My neighbors and I would visit Jo in Annapolis for lunch several time a year. My neighbors and I will keep her in our prayers.
I will never forget the kindness Jo extended to me and my family. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend, and treated us like family. She was a joy to be around and we always had fun together- sharing a meal, swimming, gardening, watching The Chosen, or attending one of Mallory’s games. Jo will be missed by many, but will not be forgotten. My sincere condolences to her family.
May the joyful and spirited life led by Jo, a beacon of faith and embodiment of love bring us comfort during this sorrowful time. Her thoughtful nature navigated countless journeys in life, being a cherished companion at work and on travels. May we honor her memory by learning from her contributions and may our sympathies bring solace to those mourning this irreplaceable loss.
I remember the first time I met Jo, I was very intimidated by her .She was very professional, smart and knew exactly what she wanted .We talked I figured out how to achieve what she wanted ( I hoped ) .The next time I saw her .I remember she said , well that was close but …, I started to giggle and that broke that ice .After that we had great conversation,She was a fascinating woman full of adventure and the love of traveling.I haven’t seen her often in the last few years , but will think of her often ❤️
