Clarence “Pete” Petree

Clarence “Pete” Petree, age 94, of Tallmansville, WV, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at his home. He was born April 16, 1930, a son of the late Sillis and Myrtle Bailey Petree. On August 12, 1994, he married Claudia Susan Williams who preceded him in death on January 8, 2024. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one stepson, Christopher Lee Karnes; one stepdaughter, Regina Sue Summers and one daughter-in-law Judith Ann Petree. Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey Ray (Sally) Petree of Romulus, MI, Jerrold Jay (Brenna) Petree Of Granbury, TX, and Jacques Jon (Janet) Petree Of Southgate, MI; three stepsons, George Lee (Lannette) Karnes II of Front Royal, VA, Robert Lee (Amy) Karnes of Helvetia, WV, and Richard Lee Karnes of Tallmansville, WV; daughter-in-law Melody Karnes of, Greenville, NC, son-in-law Timothy Summers of Utica, OH; grandchildren, Kelly Petree, Kerry (Jamie) Petree, Erica (Carlos) Christian, Alex (Natalie) Petree, Jason Petree, and Jared Petree; great grandchildren Hensley, Kayslin and Jetson Christian; step grandchildren, Wyatt (Abigail) Karnes, Rachel Karnes, Tara Karnes, Zachary Karnes, Christopher (Tim) Karnes, Kaylee Karnes, Susan (Preston) Williams, Nathan Karnes, Rachel (Will) McManus, Elijah (Sarah Joy) Karnes, Emma Coral Karnes, Sarah Karnes, Seth Karnes, Asa Karnes and Kemuel Levi Karnes and step great-granddaughter Annalisa Karnes. In honoring his wishes, Mr. Petree will be cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
