Marcia was my Alpha Xi sorority sister and one of my dearest friends at Fairmont State. She, Jill and I shared a house the summer of 1969. On June 21, her mother-in-law Dolly called me and said she sent Pat Napple over to the house to see Marcia and Albie, knowing they weren't there. It was her little match- making scheme to have us meet. We started dating the next day, and every day after. On July 4, we went to Ten-Mile with Marcia and Albie. One of Marcia's sisters asked when we were getting married. We looked at each other and kind of laughed, but I can't remember what we responded. On August 23, we set our wedding date and were married on May 23, 1970. Marcia and Albie were in our wedding, and I guess you could say that both families were responsible for getting us to that day. We had so many good times together. I only wish there could have been more.

Even though we didn't see Marcia often she was always the same. . .smiling, friendly, and gracious. We spent so much time with Marcia and Albie in our younger years...camping, meeting up at friend's houses, class reunions, or just running into each other around town. We all eventually had families, work, and other obligations and even though we didn't see each other as much, the friendships never wavered. When we did see each other it was always easy to catch up because Marcia was so special. . .one of the nicest and most sincere individuals you could ever meet. Marcia will be missed by all her family and friends but her kind and loving spirit will live on. Sincerest condolences and prayers to everyone who knew and loved her. Bill and Rhonda Bradshaw

Marcia was my teacher at Fairmont Catholic and one of the kindest and most caring educators I encountered! She helped make the transition into more complicated math much more approachable. I am grateful to have known her in my young life and for the impact she had on generations of students. My sympathies are with her children!

So many memories I can’t pick just one. She was one of my people who when I saw her she was always smiling and ready to give a big hug. You knew there was going to be A LOT of laughing and good times. I would love to go back in time and have a few good days of carefree silliness with her and Albie. Wish I had a cell phone to take better pictures back then.
Love you all
Jennifer

She was an amazing person. She was like a big sister to me and my family. We had great time visiting with her in Ten Mile. Shawn and Monica and family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort. Plus lots of hugs. I love her and you all as well. I’ve missed visiting her over the last year or so. This amazing lady will be missed by me and many more people out there.

My family loved her dearly. Alway had time to talk. We had many conversations on phone that would last 45 min or longer. Also all our times around many campfires and our trips to strip district. I will miss her for sure. Love to all.
Our family serving yours.
