When you grow up in a small rural community, your neighbors are like family. That is the way it was in Mt. Nebo back in the 1950's and 1960's. Although Louella attended the Mt. Nebo School and our family attended Daysville, we got to know her well through the 4-H Club and other community activities. We also rode the same school bus to B-U Junior High and B-U High School, and my Dad was our driver part of that time. (I am including a photo of Louella with some of the rest of us.) She has remained a friend and part of our extended family through the years. In fact, she and Gary have attended our Derico Family Reunion many times, and we loved having them there. She has made an impact on so many lives, and she will be greatly missed. May her reunion in Heaven be as joyful as the joy she has brought here on earth.

Dear Gary, Robie, & Family, So very sorry for the loss of Lou She was definitely one of God’s angels on earth. I’ve know Lou since 1976 when our son was born. She has always been a dear friend over the years with calls for birthday, anniversary wishes & chats. She will be missed by many. Travis sends his condolences from Botswana to the family & so happy he got to see her while in the USA earlier this year. Prayers for all .

Robie and Gary, she was the most wonderful, sweetest, kindest
Person I have ever met. When I saw her out she always complimented me and always told me how special I still was to her. Thank you for sharing your Mother with me. She sure was a great mentor. She will forever live in my heart. You and Gary will be in my prayers for days to come. You will be missed greatly.

I have such fond memories of cousin, Louella. She was not only my father's cousin, but a babysitter to my brother, Brett, and me. She was always so sweet to us and had an infectious smile. She was also the secretary at Talbott's Subaru in the early days. I really enjoyed popping in the showroom after school and chatting with her.
I remember back then she had her home decorated in daisies. She loved daisies and I loved her.

She was always Louella to me, even when we were young. Louella worried about all of us including my Patty especially after the Cancer came. When My Patty passed Louella worried so much about me I started to worry about her. She cared so much about everyone else she didn't have time for herself.
We talked a couple weeks ago and after the pleasantries we discussed Gary and how Good he has been to her over the years and not regarding his own ills. She was so Grateful Gary and so Proud that you were her Husband.
My Prayers are with you,Robbie and all of the Family and that includes Our 1966 Class Family, we have lost a very important Soul.

We always knew that Lou loved us all as we loved her. So sad a loss. One of my best memories of our later years was the day that Lou, and I and Dwanda and Sandy Hol.mes met for lunch. Just four old friends laughing and appreciating each other. I will always cherish that one on one time. Our condolences to Gary and Rob and the rest of her loving family. Betsy and Jim Levier

Dear Gary and Robie: Thinking of both of you at this time. Lou and I met in 7th grade and a 60+ year friendship began. Although in our adult lives we did not live close, we were always just a phone call away. I will miss her greatly as I know you will also.
Love

Fondest memories of Louella are as a wonderful classmate. So appreciative of the shared phone calls and visits as she gathered as many friends as possible from the Class of 1966 for many special events. I will always miss her smile and laughter and count myself fortunate to have experienced her genuine love she so freely shared for everyone. Her JOY (no matter her circumstances) was contagious and always uplifting! I can see her rejoicing (and organizing) fun for friends and loved ones who greeted her at Heaven's Door!
Our family serving yours.
