Dear Family of Dorsey Carpenter, So saddened upon reading of my old friend Dorsey passing. He taught me how to call a turkey and we shared muskie fishing several times below the dam in Buckhannon. When I finally got a jon boat we did that too. After retirement I hadn't seen him in a few years but my memory of him is with the highest regard. I didn't know until the service was over on Monday., otherwise I would have attended. Please accept my sincere condolences. Jim Marsh

So for your loss. Dorsey was a great guy. Always patient with kids. He took our boys on their first turkey hunt. Made them each a turkey call box which they treasure. A great man and we will miss him, but we know that he is in heaven now!!!

So sorry for your loss. He was my sister Mary's neighbor. A mild mannered man that was always kind and friendly.

Dorsey spent several of his lunch breaks one year or so with me pestering him to play games and he would always buy me a snack out of the machine in the school bus garage. Pecan rolls were my favorite. My dad, Charlie McCourt, drove school bus and I was always hanging out at the bus garage before I was old enough to go to school. I always remember Dorsey as one of my favorite childhood friends. He was patient, kind and soft-spoken. I appreciate the time I had with him very much. Much love to all the family. Your Dorsey was a very good man. Gini McCourt-Davison
