untitled2 Graveside Services Saturday, May 26, 2012 11 AM Bailey Cemetery Gary Eugene Bailey Gary Eugene Bailey, age 55, of the Hall Road, Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was born August 15, 1956 a son of Thomas E. and Bettie Tenney Bailey of Tallmansville, WV. In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother, Bryan Bailey of Buckhannon; maternal grandmother, Macie Tenney of Tallmansville; aunts, uncles and cousins; special neighbors, Carolyn, Brian and Eric Blend of Buckhannon; and his best buddy, Pringle. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rev. Lloyd W. Tenney and his paternal grandparents, Jacob and Hazel Bailey. Gary was a maintenance supervisor for Upshur County. He was a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church. He was a volunteer and member of Trout Unlimited, a Strawberry Festival Board member, coordinator of the Jack Barker Memorial Canoe Race, a 4H volunteer, a member of the WV Rivers Coalition, and the Upshur County Relay for Life. Gary was a wildlife enthusiast and took every opportunity to share his love and respect of the river. He considered his pets as members of the family and seldom went anywhere without his buddy Pringle. He was a talented and gifted artisan who used his skill not for personal gain, but to bring joy to others. He truly valued his friends and the many adventures they shared over the years. His perspective allowed him to view life in a unique manner. Gary didn’t expect any recognition for his endless contributions to his community. He quietly led by example and will always have many followers. Family will receive friends Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 1-2 PM at the Tallmansville Baptist Church, with memorial service starting at 2 PM with Rev. Tim Lewis and the Rev. Chad Lewis officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 in the Bailey Cemetery.
