Obituary of Claudia Susan Petree

Claudia Susan Petree (Williams), age 77, of Tallmansville, WV, died Monday, January 8, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born November 28, 1946, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Claude Earl and Lula Eileen “Sue” Williams (Tallman). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Lee Karnes one daughter, Regina Sue Summers, one stepdaughter-in-law Judith Ann Petree, and one brother-In-Law, Albert Cross. On August 12, 1994, she married Clarence Ray “Pete” Petree who survives. Also surviving are three sons, George Lee (Lannette) Karnes II of Front Royal, VA, Robert Lee (Amy) Karnes of Helvetia, WV, and Richard Lee Karnes of Ten Mile, WV; daughter-in-law Melody Karnes of, Greenville, NC, son-in-law Timothy Summers of Utica, OH; stepchildren, Jeffrey Ray (Sally) Petree of Romulus, MI, Jerrold Jay (Brenna) Petree Of Granbury, TX, and Jacques Jon (Janet) Petree Of Southgate, MI; grandchildren, Wyatt (Abigail) Karnes, Rachel Karnes, Tara Karnes, Zachary Karnes, Christopher (Tim) Karnes, Kaylee Karnes, Susan (Preston) Williams, Nathan Karnes, Rachel (Will) McManus, Elijah (Sarah Joy) Karnes, Emma Coral Karnes, Sarah Karnes, Seth Karnes, Asa Karnes and Kemuel Levi Karnes, great-granddaughter Annalisa Karnes; step-grandchildren Kelly Petree, Kerry (Jamie) Petree, Erica (Carlos) Christian, Alex (Natalie) Petree, Jason Petree, and Jared Petree; and many nieces and nephews; sisters, Marcia Cross, Jenelda (Dan) Puzzo and Sandra (Edward) Carney;  brother, Mark (Twila) Williams; Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
