Obituary of John Patrick Lanham

John Lanham, age 74, of Elkins, WV, died Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Nella’s Autumn Lakes Healthcare in Crystal Springs, WV. He was born April 19, 1949, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Ira and Margerite Haskins Lanham. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Alan Cunningham, and a nephew, Craig Cunningham. He is survived by one sister, Sharon Cunningham of Weston, WV; one niece, Shannon Cunningham-Snead and husband David of Clarksburg, WV; one great nephew, Alan Snead of Clarksburg, as well as his Nella’s family. John was a Christian and rarely missed a church service. In earlier years, he assisted with services and especially enjoyed leading songs. The family wishes to thank the staff of Nella’s for their many years of friendship and exceptional care of John.  In honoring Mr. Lanham’s wishes he will be cremated.
