Cheryl married her childhood love in 1962, just days after their high school graduations. In their 61 year journey they have faced many challenges and celebrated many joys. Their work took them to Washington D.C., To Brownsville, Tx and places in between. Their love of travel took them to 49 states. They shared their travels with their children and their grandchildren. Cheryl retired from government service in 1995. While raising their children she was active in girl scouts and S.O.L.L. girls softball as a coach. She supported both of their girls thru all school activities. After retirement she and Dewey traveled the U.S.A. both as a couple and with their grandkids. She fought her hardest battle the last 10 years and even while fighting the battle of her life she was thinking of others. She participated in multiple clinical trials, not only in hopes of helping her but if nothing else helping those in the future. Her greatest joy had come in the last year as she welcomed her first great grandchild, Cooper. On the final leg of her journey, she was accompanied by her entire family to see her off to her final adventure.
