Obituary of Roy Conley Moats

Roy Conley Moats, age 80, of Volga, WV, died Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his home. He was born February 5, 1943, a son of the late Roy Butcher and Mildred Moana Moats Adleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Esta Mae Dunn and Betty Lee Sanford and three brothers, Dana Moats, Kenneth Shoulders and Thomas Richard Moats. He is survived by a friend, Stephen Ward of Volga; two sisters, Garnett Downy of Delevan, WI and Sandra Peters of Champlain, NY; several nieces and nephews and his caregivers, Kenny Bennet and John Summers both of Volga.  Mr. Moats was a life-long employee and friend of Ward Farm. He was well known as the head man. Also, he loved fishing. In honoring Mr. Moats wishes he will be cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
