On December 28, 1982, Bobby and Patty opened their home up for my brother, Charles and I. My father had been shot, and my mother was with him in the hospital. Patty took us in and showed us love and compassion during that traumatic time. What a perfect example of how Patty always cared for her family and others in our community. Later in my life, I enjoyed seeing Bobby and Patty at the WV State Fair. She always gave me fresh produce out of her garden.I will always be grateful and treasure the memories of her.
