What a wonderful friend I had in Thelma. We became especially close when the lockdown happened and I called her to teach me how to make bread. I’ll never forget the story she told about burying bread dough in the yard so Curtis wouldn’t know she failed, then it started rising and bubbling out of the ground and Curtis found it and came asking her what it was! We talked on the phone frequently during the lockdown. I’ve prayed for Belenda, Curtis, and Thelma faithfully for years and will continue to do so. I’ll be looking forward to baking bread in heaven with Thelma. Bread always rises in heaven.
