I am so sorry to hear about Milford. He called me every once in a while from the VA Nursing Home.. We would be on the phone for an hour sometimes.. Milford always had a lot of interesting stories to tell… He had a great wealth of local history and so much information on farming.. He made great rhubarb pies and always brought me one when he would come here every Spring to watch the Strawberry Festival with us… My biggest regret is that I never made it to see him after the Covid epidemic. Rest in Peace Milford… You were one of a kind and always a mild mannered friend that I wil never forget.

I worked with Ira in the Therapy department at the WVVNF. How we all loved Ira! Ira was so friendly with everyone… no one was a stranger to him. He loved Buckhannon and all things related to the state of West Virginia. He will be sorely missed by everyone at the nursing home. Sending my heart-felt condolences to his family. I work at the Va nursing facility and man what a pleasure it was getting to know Ira. He was so kind and caring. He loved his plants that was in his room. He always tried talking to me about plants and I’m clueless when it comes to flowers. He was a great man. We will all miss him lots. We love you Ira. Now you can rest in peace and painless.
