I’m unfortunate that I never really got to spend as much time as everyone else did with Pop, I truly think that through this whole passing away I learned a lesson, that people won’t like you because your rich or because your famous, they’ll like you because your kind.

In this difficult time, may we find comfort in remembering the dynamic spirit of Carl. Through his intelligence and adventurous nature, he painted life with vibrant colors. His wisdom was rivaled only by his capacity for love and kindness. He made us laugh, expressed relentless optimism and showcased courage without falter. His light will continue to guide us, as we keep him in our hearts and prayers.
Carl was a dear friend to my Dad, brothers and I. Every great memory of turkey hunting I have includes Carl in it. Theres a lot of humorous advice and stories he told me that I’ll cherish and never forget. A piece of him will live with us the rest of our lives, especially during spring turkey season. Till we meet again Carl, I’ll miss you buddy.

Carl was always happy when I was around him. The best memory I have is when we were children. We always went swimming in the creek behind his Mom and Dad's house. We always had fun. He will be missed. I loved him.
