Rebecca Ann “Becky” Koon, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born November 7, 1950, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Charles and Goldie Bennett Posey. On April 28, 1972, she married James “Jim” Koon who preceded her in death on July 20, 2014. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Posey. Surviving are, two daughters, Libby Venditti and husband Chris of Fort Mill, SC and Crystal Linger and husband Ed of Buckhannon; one grandson, Christopher Venditti of Fort Mill; two granddaughters, Harley and Presley Linger both of Buckhannon; one brother David Posey of Buckhannon; two sisters, Vickie Posey and Trudy Hughes both of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and close nephew, David Posey of Buckhannon. Becky formerly attended Sand Run Baptist Church and was the manager at Rol-Star. Becky loved to cook and was especially known for her pepperoni rolls, apple dumplings, and pies. Friends will be received Sunday, August 27, 2023, 11 AM for a graveside service at Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
