Obituary of John A. Bennett

untitled2 John A. Bennett John A. Bennett, age 48, of Volga, WV died Monday, December 12, 2011 at his home under the care of Hospice Care of Grafton, WV. He was born June 7, 1963 in Spring Valley, NY. On September 16, 2007 he married Cyrena R. Tincher who survives. Also surviving are his mother Lily Foster Bennett of Volga; one son, Chad A. Bennett and wife Heather of Beverly, WV; two daughters, Danielle Bennett Taylor of Beverly and Autumn N. Snyder and husband John II of Buckhannon; one sister, Cheryl Ann Bennett Tenney and husband Todd (Biggen) of Volga; two grandsons, Grant E. Bennett of Beverly and Timothy C. Mullins Snyder of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Alexis L. Bennett of Beverly; mother and father in law, Helen and Donald Osborne of Roanoke, VA; two sister in laws, Kathy Osborne and Angela Osborne Maurer and husband Casey both of Roanoke; one brother in law, Brian Keith Tincher and wife Lisa of Boones Mill, VA; four nephews, John Darnell, III, Branden Thomas, Zach Tincher and Hayden Osborne Maurer all from Roanoke; three nieces, Ashley Hoover of Ohio, Taylor Thomas and Megan Tincher both of Roanoke, also James L. Gifford, II my lifelong friend. He was preceded in death by his father James Arden Bennett; paternal grandparents, Percy and Gail Bennett; maternal grandparents, John and Carrie Foster; one daughter, Kristi Bennett and one brother in law, Richard D. Tincher. John was a carpenter for G-Force Contracting. He served in the US Army. Friends will be received Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 12 Noon - 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM at the funeral home with Pastor James L. Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside.
