Obituary of Bonney Jean Vanpelt

Bonney Jean Vanpelt, age 61, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home. She was born October 27, 1961, in Warren, OH, a daughter of the late James William Poling and Glenna June Finlaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Amanda Poling; one sister, Patricia Blackwell and two brothers, Donald and Larry Poling. She is survived by one son, Anthony Poling and wife Jessica of Fairmont, WV; one daughter, Erin Gibson and husband Robert of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Julienne Raines of Fairmont, Mary and Adryanna Gibson both of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Michael and Robert Gibson both of Buckhannon; three sisters, Cindy Cortes and husband Dennis and Laura Walter all of Buckhannon and Sandy Cooper of Warren; three brothers, Jimmy Poling and wife Cindy and Ronald Poling all of SC and Leroy Poling and wife Divida of PA; niece, Keri Walter of Buckhannon; nieces and nephews, Donna, Missy, Ernesto, Angelique, Charlene, Carla, Charles, George, Stacy, Miko, Ashley, LaTisha, Mikey, Michele, Jamie, Samantha, Kayla Deanna, Tiffany, Matthew, Marvin, Thomas, Della, Amy, DJ and Johnny and her best friends, Missy and Ellen. Ms. Vanpelt was a Cashier at Walmart. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beatles and the Monkeys and watching games shows and Starsky & Hutch on TV – all while sipping her favorite drink, Mt. Dew. Her favorite pastime was Sunday driving and checking out area yard sales. Bonney had a vast collection of frogs, enjoyed playing bingo and was head over heels in love with her grandchildren.
