Obituary of Darius Edward Caynor

Darius Edward Caynor, age 68, of Norton, WV, died Saturday, April 29, 2023, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born December 27, 1954, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Thirl Edward and Willa Jean Rucker Caynor. He is survived by one daughter, Melanie Miller and fiancé Derek Kyle of Belington, WV; one son, Steve Caynor of Norton; four granddaughters, Lexie and Keisha Caynor both of Norton, Chelsea Carr and husband Justin of Norton and Ellyanna Kyle of Belington; two grandsons, Stevie Caynor and fiancé Brooklyn Wyatt of Norton and Bryar Kyle of Belington; one great granddaughter, Nova Ray Caynor of Norton; two sisters, Chulita “Chickey” Cable and husband Bob of Buckhannon and Holly Baker and husband Matthew of Davis, WV;  several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Jessie. Mr. Caynor was a Gas Well Tender. He graduated from BUHS with the Class of 1972. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Cemetery in Excelsior, WV.
