Douglas Bradford Bickel, age 76, of Grafton, WV, passed away Monday April 24, 2023, at Taylor Healthcare Center in Grafton, WV. He was born November 23, 1946, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Joyce M. and Wanda Pickens Bickel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Steven Douglas Bickel. He is survived by two brothers, Jerald Bickel and wife LeAnna of Elkins, WV and Darrel Bickel of Grafton, WV and one sister, Julia Robbins and husband Dr. Donald Robbins of Marlette, MI. Mr. Bickel graduated from Elkins High School with the class of 1964 and was a U.S. Veteran. Following his military service he worked for Timken in Canton, OH.  Douglas was a Methodist by faith and belonged to the VFW 3081 in Grafton, VFW 1134 in Winston-Salem, NC and AMVETS in Winston- Salem. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Poling- St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00M on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor David Jesse officiating. Burial will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery. The Upshur County Honor Guard will be conducting Military Honors. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
