Former Buckhannon, WV resident, Gene Gibson, 81, passed away in Wilmington, NC on March 17, 2023. Gene was born in Buckhannon to Marie (Dean) and Troy Gibson on August 31, 1941. Gene is survived by his wife, Jackie (Johnston) Gibson of Leland, NC. He is also survived by his children: Troy Gibson and wife Nina, Tracy Leigh and husband Tim, Mandy Simmons, Tonya Campbell and husband Matt, grandchildren: Jessica, Allison, Britney and Ethan, great grandchildren: Raeya, Harlan, Lakelynn, Brylee, and Mavrik. He was preceded in death by his cherished mother and father, and two grandchildren: Whitney and Luke. A private burial was held for family.
