Obituary of Kathy Sue McCarthy

Kathy Sue McCarthy, age 61, of Buckhannon, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior and her daughter, Beth McCarthy, Wednesday, March 15, 2023. She was born March 30, 1961, in Nicholas County, WV, a daughter of the late Cecil and Helen Lane Linger. She is survived by three sons, Christopher McCarthy of Welch, WV, Benjamin McCarthy of Buckhannon and Jedidiah McCarthy and wife Bobbi of Lewis County, WV; two brothers, Steve Linger and wife Roseann of Buckhannon and Gary Linger and wife Susan of FL; one sister, Deborah Hinchman of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and a friend, Donna Zickefoose of Buckhannon. Kathy was a big animal lover and would often donate to the Upshur/Lewis Animal Shelter. Private services will be held for the family. In honoring Kathy’s wishes she will be cremated.
