Obituary of Cynthia Ruth Spencer

SpencerCynthiaRuth Cynthia Ruth Spencer Cynthia Ruth Spencer, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born July 27, 1927 in Saxman, WV, a daughter of the late Ira Sanky and Bessie Bennett Spencer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Alvin Cogar; two brothers, Hartzel “Shake” Spencer and Virgil Spencer and three sisters, Geraldine Susie Skidmore, Ruby Elaine Spencer and Nada Mae Spencer. She is survived by one sister, Nelma Jean Gleason of Albuquerque, NM and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker. She attended the Liberty In Christ Church and was a member of the Buckhannon Senior Center. Friends will be received Monday, November 3, 2008 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday with Pastor Holly J. Hoover and the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery on Fenwick Mt. In Richwood, WV.
