Obituary of Troy Anthony Cook
Troy Anthony Cook, age 34, of Buckhannon, WV passed away suddenly at his home on December 8, 2022. He was born May 25, 1988, in Buckhannon, a son of Jeffrey Cook of Weston, WV and Cynthia Moore Cook of Buckhannon who both survive. Also surviving are, two sisters (and life-long best friends), Sasha Harris (Joshua) of Buckhannon and Jamie Powers (Cody) of Weston; two nieces that were the light of his life, Paige Powers of Weston and Chloe Harris of Buckhannon; bonus niece, Drea Rexroad and nephew, Cory Harris both of Buckhannon; grandmother, Suzanne Heater of Leetonia, OH; uncle, Scott Heater (Lori) of Leetonia; two aunts, Jamie Davis (Rodney) of Buckhannon and Wendy Wamsley of Clarksburg, WV and several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jim Moore, maternal grandmother, Yvonne Shaffer and aunt, Yvette Talkington. Troy had a passion and love for music and was able to play the guitar and violin effortlessly. He was an avid hunter and a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He also loved baseball. Most of all, Troy loved being and uncle. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 6 PM with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. In honoring, Troy’s wishes, he will be cremated following services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lewis County Youth Baseball/Softball Association (LBA) at PO Box 755, Weston, WV, 26452.
