Ethel was the best mom! She loved John throughout his illness, just as he was. She came out many times a year to spend time with him and called every single day. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for him—or for that matter, his caregivers (she made the best pot roast!). This picture is an example of the love she showed John by washing his hair (with his bird Montana supervising), and the joy in her face in connecting with him through her comforting touch says everything. She will forever be our model for living life with a caring and generous heart. We will always love her and be grateful for knowing her. Victoria and Carl
