Harrison B. B. Orsburn, age 85, of Tallmansville, WV died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at his home. He was born May 9, 1922 in Excelsior, WV, a son of the late Benjamin Buckey and Madge Shipman Orsburn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Young; three sisters, Wanneta Orsburn, Elsa McCartney and Alta Holden and two brothers, Ralph and John Orsburn. He is survived by a former wife, Doris Orsburn of Buckhannon; two daughters, Elizabeth Orsburn of Buckhannon and Iris Hodges and husband Ernest of Pfafftown, NC; five sons, Harrison B. Orsburn, Jr., and wife Terri of Chattanooga, TN, Thomas Orsburn and wife Debbie of Tallmansville, Kenneth Orsburn and wife Carla of Tallmansville, Randall R. Orsburn and wife Debbie of Tallmansville and Joseph A. Orsburn and wife Lisa of Buckhannon; two brothers, Junior Orsburn of Sand Run, WV and Earl Orsburn of Stonewood, WV; nineteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Orsburn was a Christian by faith. A member of the U.M.W.A. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and worked as a coal miner for consolidated Coal Co. at the Robinson Run and Williams Mines. Friends will be received Saturday, December 22, 2007 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 and # 36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospice. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
