Sheril Chavis, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at her home. She was born January 30, 1950, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Harrison D. and Loretta Mae Tenney Casto. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David Knight; one daughter, Loretta Ann Casto and one brother. Fredrick Casto. She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Smith of Adrian, WV and Linda Jordan of Petersburg, WV; two sons, Buddy Knight and wife Christina and Bennie Jordan all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Josephine Linger and husband Ron of Buckhannon and Pammie Wolfford of Jane Lew, WV; four brothers, Cliffton Casto and wife Annabelle of Hodgesville, WV, Danny Casto and wife Betty of Flemington, WV, Mike Casto of Tallmansville, WV and John Casto and wife Debbie of Buckhannon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Jay Umble of Buckhannon. Mrs. Chavis was a homemaker and a member of the Sago Baptist Church in Sago, WV. She enjoyed reading her Bible and doing crosswords. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Elbon Cemetery in Sago, WV with John Casto officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
