Barbara Ruth Myers, age 64, of Tallmansville, WV, died Saturday, July 30, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born March 22, 1958, in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Howard and Wilda Humphrey Westfall. On April 18, 1981, she married Johnny Edward Myers who preceded her in death on September 26, 2016. She is survived by one son, Chris Canter and wife Jelena of Lagrange, KY; one daughter, Michelle Canter of Buckhannon; one grandson, Max Canter of Lagrange and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Victoria Canter both of Lagrange. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Big Bend United Methodist Church. She was a caring member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Holbrook’s Nursing Home staff in Buckhannon for many years. Friends will be received Friday, August 5, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Big Bend United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held 1 PM at the church with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Bend Cemetery in Sago, WV. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
