I have never met Hester, but I feel like I know her because my sister, Joann Huffman, has spoken about her often. She valued their friendship and the little birthday get-togethers with her. May her soul rest in peace.
We are very sorry to hear of Hester's passing. My fondest memory is of taking her a sack of potatoes in the fall and having coffee and a bite to eat and visiting for a while with her. She always sent us a Christmas card since we first met her. My wife remembers when Hester participated in the Senior Companion program. She was always fun to be around and will truly be missed.
