James Earl Post, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, July 18, 2022, at Autumn Lakes Healthcare at Crystal Springs in Elkins, WV. He was born June 7, 1943, in Buckhannon a son of the late Dwaine and Brenice Rhineheart Post. He married Karen Bragg who preceded him in death on December 12, 2021. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh and Junior Wayne Post and two sisters, Velma Violetta Post and Kathleen Alkire. He is survived by one son, Jimmie Post and wife Carolyn of Elkins; one daughter, Peggy Lynn and husband Josh of Bedford, VA; one grandson, Joshua Post of Elkins; three granddaughters, Aerin Post of Elkins, Myra Post of FL and Kristin Lynn and fiancé AJ Rose of Bedford; one great-grandson, Jeremiah Rose of Bedford and one niece, Linda Boyle and Jimmie of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
