Kerry W. “Bill” Patterson, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born April 14, 1949, in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Wesley Arch and Ruby Lee Edgell Patterson. On December 22, 1973, he married Linda Frisby Patterson who survives of Buckhannon. Also surviving are one brother, Leanard Patterson and wife Diane of NC; two sisters-in-law, Eva Lou “Patty” Frisby and Judy Patterson both of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was a huge animal lover and will be sadly missed by his family of cats and many wildlife friends. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps. And was a very patriotic person. He belonged to the Elks Lodge in Buckhannon. A graveside service will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV, with the Revs. Brian Seeders, Barry Moll and the Rev. Dr. Ellis Conley officiating. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Upshur County Humane Society, PO Box 2292, Buckhannon, WV 26201, First United Methodist Church of Elkins in C/O Brian Seders, 315 Kerens Ave, Elkins, WV 26241, or the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund in C/O Randy Rice, 581 Mt Carmel Rd, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
