Obituary of Karl "Buck" Ralph Walton

Karl “Buck” Ralph Walton, age 91, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the home of his niece. He was born, May 20, 1931, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Richard B. and Flora E. Helmick Walton. On October 4, 1954, he married Edith Ernestine Heatherly Walton, who preceded in death on February 14, 2009. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Ellison and Beatrice Riggleman; four brothers Alvin, Roy, Forman and Justice Walton. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. He was a coal miner in the strip mine and a Christian by faith. Karl loved life and working in his flower garden, with his lovely wife before her passing. He also loved entertaining people by playing his guitar and singing gospel songs. Everyone that ever met him, instantly fell in love with his charm and sense of humor. Friends will be received, Monday, June 6, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held Monday 1 PM, at the funeral home with the Rev. Wade McGee officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
