Obituary of Mary Frances Carpenter Janssen

Mary Frances Carpenter Janssen, age 87, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Camellia Place in Woodstock, GA. She was born May 2, 1934, in French Creek, WV, a daughter of the late Theodore and Maude Alderman Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bettie Rose and Georgena Hosaflook. She is survived by two daughters, Dovena Rose and Yvonne (Babo) Janssen; two sons, Thomas (Beth) Janssen and Timothy Janssen; two grandchildren, Tucky (Dani) Rose and Mary (Daniel) Kitchen; one great-grandchild, Elijah Kitchen; two brothers, Theodore (Diane) Carpenter and Roger (Cindy) Carpenter and two sisters, Esther (Bonnie) Hinkle and Janice Fitzgerald. Mary graduated in 1951 from Buckhannon-Upshur High School. She was artistic and enjoyed painting. In honoring Mrs. Janssen’s wishes, she was cremated. A private family memorial was held in her honor.
