OldakerFrancis Francis I. Oldaker Francis I. Oldaker age 96 of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. He was born December 5, 1910 in Upshur County a son of the late Henry and Naeoma Everson Oldaker who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Chloe Suder Oldaker, a son, Kenneth Oldaker, a sister Opal Edwards and 7 brothers, Robert, Henry, Emil, James, Richard, Jake and Frank Oldaker. He is survived by his second wife, Ocie Sothen Wright Oldaker of Buckhannon, a daughter Ruby Armstrong and husband Marvin of Monaca, PA, a step son, Carl Sothen and wife Carol of Buckhannon, a granddaughter, Debbie Cichoski of Monaca, PA and three grandsons, Roger Armastrong of El Paso, TX, David Armstrong of Monaca, PA and Randy Armstrong of Oakdale, PA. Mr. Oldaker was a steel worker for J& L Steel and a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church in Kesling Mill, WV. Friends will be received Tuesday, September 25, 2007 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Stackpole officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbour County Memorial Cemetery in Philippi, WV. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Holbrook’s Nursing Home for five years of care and compassion. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
