Obituary of Janice Darlene Samm

Janice Darlene Samm, age 66, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born February 13, 1956, a daughter of the late Paul and Wilma McClure Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her 1st husband Charles Krum; daughter Rebekah Krum; two brothers Danny Joe Higgins and Larry Higgins. She is survived by her husband Edward “Curtis” Samm; one son Reuben Krum; one daughter Racheal Krum all of Buckhannon; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren all of Buckhannon; four siblings, Bill Higgins, Barabara Beaver, Jeff Higgins, and Christine Killion, all of IN. Janice was a registered nurse and a Veteran of the United States Army. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Buckhannon. She was a devoted wife, mother and nana who loved her family dearly with her grandchildren being the light of her world. Some of her favorite hobbies she enjoyed were gardening and tending to her chickens. A Memorial Service will be held, Friday March 4, 2022, at 4 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Buckhannon, with Bishop Ron Hinkle officiating.
