Hello, I remember Karen from Leave it to Beaver and The Rifleman last episode and I had no idea she was so a believer in Jesus. She is a loving awesome person. I’m her age and I remember seeing her throughout the years on these TV shows and often wonder who she was, I know she’s in heaven because my wife passed away from cancer last February 10. I’m sure they’re up there rejoicing…sincerely David Thomas, Elkhart, Indiana. God bless you all.

I'm so sorry about the loss of this obviously very special lady, but I was wondering; is this the same Karen Sue Trent who was a young actress appearing on Leave It To Beaver and other things? Becoming a Trent in 1970 it wouldn't seem so since the one on LITB was shown in the credits for shows that came out in 1960-62 as a Trent. I hope someone who knew this one well will reply and solve this mystery. Thanks

Karen was the best and sweetest friend I ever had in my life. I miss her so much, but she isn't sick anymore, she isn't fighting that old desese anymore.
I miss our lunch dates with all the girls, she was out glue, she kept us going.
I know she's up there with her parents, sister and brother and on what a family reunion they had when she went Home.
I'm forever grateful that we became good friends.

I used to live out the street from her and her family and played with her sons at their house in Chestnut Hills when her eldest son and I went to grade school together. The entire family was always very nice and good Christian people. God bless them.

Karen was one of my favorite child actresses. I am an avid viewer of Leave It To Beaver and The Rifleman. When I viewed her funeral service (I had not heard of her passing until today, January 17, 2023), I was even more impressed with her. What a precious testimony! It is obvious that she loved our LORD. Wish I could have personally met her. May God bless her memory and her surviving family.

There seems to be considerable confusion on the internet about this, but this one isn't the actress you mentioned. She is shown in the credits on LITB as a Trent, but this one didn't become a Trent until she married one in 1970 years after the show. Also, this one's obit doesn't say anything about her having been an actress. The actress Karen seems to have dropped off the face of the Earth after her last role on The Rifleman show. She may even still possibly be alive?

I had the pleasure of meeting Karen (and Rich) several years ago when their firm served as my agency's accountant. Karen was never anything but friendly, kind, and caring. She was a sweet soul. I could "hear" her smile each time she answered my phone call. My condolences to Rich and her family.

This woman, this family, mean so much to me. Karen and Rich brought so much joy and abundant blessings during a hard time of my life.
Karen made me feel so welcome to their home and family during Christmas and Spring Break almost 10 years ago. In the years since, she always asked me how I was and if there was anything she could do to help. Such a blessing just to have known her and to have been in her presence.
So many prayers and much love to the family and other friends of Momma Karen. ♥️

Karen was such a friendly and joyous person, I remember chatting with her at Johnny Townsend's retirement dinner a few years back. She sure loved her dogs, and being a dog person myself her stories resonated at a personal level. I was very sad to hear of her passing, it's great that she got to enjoy her final days doing what she loved.
We will miss her.
Sincerely,
Rob and Katrina Jones

The passing of Mrs. Trent caused me to reflect on my life and how blessed I was to know and work with both Mr. & Mrs. Trent. For over twenty years Karen was an integral part of my accounting department and guided me with advice that always had my best interests at heart. Always available to answer my questions and educate me on the accounting process, Mr. and Mrs. Trent were instrumental in the growth and longevity of my businesses. Karen’s professionalism, kindness and dedication will never be forgotten, rather it should be a standard we all hold ourselves to.
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Trent family.
Sincerely,
Samuel L. Baxa

Karen Trent wore her heart on the outside of her body, freely and willingly giving a piece to anybody who would take it. Never running out of love, a word of encouragement, and most importantly, fervent prayers, Karen went out of her way to make sure people knew she saw them and loved them. I was extremely fortunate to be one loved by Karen, and she made sure I knew it. From random gifts in the mail, to an encouraging word, and many many prayers; as I told my mom when I found out about her passing, " Karen kept an eye on me even when I wasn't within sight." She always let me know that I mattered to her and Jesus.
Rich, Scott and Tim, I hope you are comforted knowing how incredibly loved Karen is. She truly loved others with the heart of Jesus.

I went to school and played ball with Scottie. Shortly after, I met his Father and Mother. It was easy to see that the Apple didn’t fall far from the tree. The Trent family is one of the sweetest I have ever met. They say behind a good man is a great woman. Karen was the den mother for 3 very good men so she gets the super great woman ribbon. She was strong, caring and showed her love for humanity and her lord and savior each and every day. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Everyone who had the opportunity to meet her were a better person because of it. Heaven got a extra special angel this week.
My deepest regards,
Jeff Carlyle

Helena, Karen and I shared a lot of lunches in Mr Bond’s room. We went to 4-H camp together and many other things. Although she and I lost touch with each other Helena would always update me on Karen and her family. We all shared a table at our 50th class reunion (some things never change). Karen will be missed by her family but they can remember all the love that she showered on each. May your memories help you to move forward
