I JUST found out via Hello June, they introduced Walter & he stole my heart. His smile bittersweet.
I cannot imagine the grief, Love to all who loved Walter.
I never met Walter in person; he and I became great acquaintances through our own music. We shared each other's passion for songwriting, playing, and singing. He would usually end his comments on my posts of his songs or my songs with, "Hope to get to see you in person one day." We will, indeed, meet one day, Walter. In our eternal life. Bless your heart. Love you, man.

We are so sorry for your loss. We have wonderful memories of Walter, we called him Greg; visiting our home. Many years ago Greg would be here with a whole group of other musicians; and there would be music pouring out of the walls of our home and we enjoyed those times immensely. Greg always had a smile and a hug to give, always had time to stop and chat and just the kindest person. The world has lost a beautiful light far too soon.

Walter was a friend it was always pleasant to run into. He gave of himself to help the Veterans in the program where I worked, and he spread love to our mutual friends everytime he was among us. I often left an interaction with him thinking - Damn, the world would be a better place if more of us were like that man. Greg, Brother, you will be missed. May you be granted the accomplishment of your will.

We were so looking to seeing Walter in Buckhannon in the spring. "Greg", as he was called growing up with our sons, was a friend and they all were in Scouts together. Greg was one of our favorites. Love and prayers for all the family. Keep making that good music, Walter!
