Obituary of Lucy Jane Wodzinski
It is with a heavy heart we announce on Tuesday, Jan 18th, 2022, Lucy Jane Wodzinski passed away. She was born on March 7th, 1942, in Fairmont, West Virginia. In life she was a gifted caregiver to the elderly and an even more talented seamstress. For a time, Lucy owned a local business. She also worked as a cook and baked for local restaurants. Known for her beautiful smile and kind nature, Lucy seemed to have the ability to solve any problem, big or small. Her kindness, sense of charity and humanity were only exceeded by her sense of humor. She enjoyed her dogs, cooking, gardening, and above all, time with family and friends. Surviving her in life are three children, Elizabeth Ann Newbrough (Rick), Rick Leigh (Joan), and Lee Mcfarlin (Ruth); foster son, Robert Kessler; five grandchildren, Jeremy Leigh Clark, Darren Lee Mcfarlin, Robert Leigh, Tristan McFarlin, and Miranda Mcfarlin; six great grandchildren and longtime companion David Hilderbrand. Her extended family and close friends are far too numerous to name. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys, stepfather, William Gaines and her beloved brother, Floyd "Jesse” Moore. Friends will be received Friday, January 21, 2022, from 12PM noon to 3 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Lowther officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
