Pauline Jewell (Cutright) Woody, age 84, of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully December 17, 2021, under hospice care after a short-term battle with Cancer. She was born July 7, 1937, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Lewis and Vernice Bunner Cutright. Pauline was preceded in death by her former husband, Hartsel Woody of Rock Cave and sister Jean Pringle of Buckhannon. She is survived by two sons; Gregory Woody and wife Norma of Selbyville, WV; Timothy Woody and wife Jill of Cleveland, WV; two sisters, Sue Tallman of Tallmansville, and Connie Cottrill of Jane Lew, WV and one brother, Julian Cutright of Lawn, TX. Pauline was a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School. She was employed as a Nurses Aid for St. Joseph’s Hospital, and a long time Cook for Upshur County Schools.  Pauline resided in Melbourne, Florida for 35 years prior to returning to West Virginia to live with her son and caregiver, Greg and wife Norma for the past year. She loved the ocean, traveling, shopping and cuddling with her two yorkies, Sharkie and Wesley. Pauline fulfilled her wish to see the leaves change and snowfall in West Virginia one last time. A special thank you to Connie and Dave; Sue and Donald; Dr. Bartley Brown; Dr. Jamie Miller; staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, United Hospital Center and WV Caring for all your love and support during Pauline’s journey. At the request of the deceased, she will be cremated with no funeral service. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
