Karen and family,
John and I are very sorry for your loss. I feel like our community was an extended family back when our kids were growing up. There aren't many of us left and it's hard to lose another one. Please let us know if there's anything we can do.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I liked and appreciated Andy very much. He worked with my brother Denver Hawkins a lot, and they did some wonderful work for my husband and me at our home. I can remember Andy on that dozer or backhoe so well. He took time around his other masonry and carpentry work on our home, to help me save a big maple tree that had to be uprooted and relocated in our yard. It was a beautiful and sentimental tree to me because my dad had given it to me. The tree was pretty big and the roots were big. Andy dug it out with the backhoe, set it aside for awhile, then replanted it when it was time, around where they were building our garage and doing landscaping. I came home from work every day for lunch and watered the tree morning, noon, and evening to keep it alive. I could see Andy would look up from his work on the garage and give me a big smile. I appreciated how he was a skilled craftsman and good worker, and that he was a good man and friend to my brother and to me. My sympathies are with his family at this sad time.

Karen and family, so sorry to hear about Andy. He sure fought the fight and I am so proud of him. He was one of my favorite cousins, even though I didn't get to see him enough, just through busyness of life, but that is not a good excuse. Just talking about him yesterday, good things though. He will be missed. Remember all the good times and hold your memories close to your heart. We will all get to see him on the other side. Such precious memories I have of him from our childhood. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you and especially you Karen. You were his rock. I love you all dearly and I love you too Andy. Rest in peace my precious cousin. Wish I had made an effort to see you. Love, Carolyn and Joel
