Obituary of Walter E. Stalnaker

StalnakerWalter Walter E. Stalnaker Walter E. Stalnaker, age 82, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at his home. He was born July 10, 1925 in Braxton County, WV, a son of the late William Frederick and Lida King Stalnaker. He is survived by his wife, Delmeth Ruth Goodwin, whom he married in 1952; one brother, George Stalnaker of Youngstown, OH and three sisters, Jean Strader of Orlando, WV, Shirley Porter of Hubbard, OH and Vickie Hill of Clarksburg, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Joe and Jim Stalnaker and one sister, Ruth Murphy. Mr. Stalnaker was a steel worker. He retired from US Steel after 35 years of service. He also was an avid truck driver, which he loved to do. He was a Veteran of WW II. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Monday, August 27, 2007 from 12 noon until 1:00 PM the funeral hour with Ronald Honeycutt officiating.
