Lee Roy Bennett, Jr., age 55, of Philippi, WV, died Saturday, September 25, 2021, at his home. He was born September 19, 1966, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of Wanda Perry Bennett of Buckhannon and the late Lee Roy Bennett, Sr. On June 29, 2002, he married Judy Anderson Bennett who survives. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by six children, Tya Anderson of Anderson, OH, Xzavier Anderson of Philippi, Brittany Peck of Buckhannon, Isaiah Bennett of Philippi, Madalynn Bennett and Jean’O Owen Bennett of Philippi; two sisters, Mary Losh of Grafton, WV and Barbara Hannon of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Martin. Mr. Bennett was an assembly worker at Snyder’s Industrial. Known as Roy Jr., he loved his family very much and loved spending time with them. Friends will be received Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 12 Noon until 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Chad Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery in Queens, WV.
