Obituary of Reba Mae Riffle

Reba Mae Riffle, age 87, of French Creek, WV, died Saturday, September 25, 2021, at her home. She was born May 7, 1934, in Kanawha Head, WV, a daughter of the late William Ford and Lottie Oletha Isenhart Haymond. On June 6, 1953, she married Rev. Marvin Fred Riffle who preceded her in death on June 1, 2004. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Riffle; one daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Riffle; two grandsons, Joseph and Michael Riffle; seven brothers, Calvin, Claude, Ervin, Burl, Ralph, Jerry and Roger Haymond and three sisters, Reva Thorton, Melba Kyle and Berdine Potts. She is survived by two sons, David Riffle and Tony Riffle and wife Bridget all of Norwalk, OH;  one daughter, Donna Horn and husband Jeff of Wakeman, OH; one daughter-in-law, Darlene “Kay” Riffle of Crawford, WV; eight grandchildren, Samantha Hartman and husband Jason of Norwalk; Luke Riffle of Norwalk, Mark Riffle, Jr., of Buckhannon, WV, Christin Riffle and companion Daniel of Elkins, WV, Nicholas Lewis and wife Jennifer of Norwalk, Philip Lewis and wife Aleshia of Wakeman, Cadin Riffle and wife Kelly of Kingsport, TN and Cody Riffle of Kingsport; seventeen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell Haymond of Crawford, WV and Brooks Haymond and wife Norma of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Ina Friend of French Creek and Joyce Haymond of Buckhannon. Mrs. Riffle was a homemaker. She was active and loved attending the Arlington Baptist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael W. Wamsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Kanawha Head, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
