Obituary of Jacqueline Moran Haddix

Jacqueline Moran Haddix, age 70, a resident of Volga, WV went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV.  She was born May 2, 1951 on her father’s birthday in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late William Jackson “Jack” Moran and Wilda Mae True Moran who resides at Century #1.  Surviving besides her mother are two children, Serena Mae Haddix of Volga, WV and Garrett Keith Haddix and wife Mary of Fairmont, WV.  Two grandchildren, Elias Garrett Haddix and Aliyah Grace Haddix of Fairmont, WV.  Three brothers, Garry William Moran of Century, WV, Anthony “Tony” Blaine Moran and wife Alice of Grafton, WV, and Roger Alan Moran and wife June of Century, WV. 

Nieces and Nephews, Garry W. Moran II, Melissa Moran Hollen and husband Kevin of Century, WV, Roger Moran Jr. and wife Amanda of Morgantown, WV, Mark Moran of Century, WV, Lauren Moran of Charleston, WV, Brianna Moran Tichnell and husband Steve of Fairmont, WV and many great nieces and nephews.

Aunts, Joyetta M. Black Moran of Bridgeport, Pat Marsh True of Philippi, Louis True Ward of Century.

Close cousins, Clara Jean “Jeanie” True Hawkins and Kevin of Buckhannon, Bobby and Kathy True of Moatsville, Debra Annette Vance Hall of Maryland, Jeff Vance of Maryland, and Larry Payne of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her beloved baby brother, William Jackson “Jacky” Moran Jr, father William Jackson Moran, grandparents Clifford “Tip” and Lucy Parson True and Henry and Gertrude Moran.  Aunts and Uncles, Charles “Tom” and Grace Moran, Harry Garfield and Ann Moran, Buddy True, Bid and Amelia True, Roger and Clarabelle Moran Storr, Bob and Rose Moran, Marion True and Sox Kelly, John and Marlene Smith, John Ward, Joe and Flodie Parziale, Martha True Payne, Gloria Ann True Vance, Ruby Moran, Alex and Mary Kurucz, Dick and Murrell Moran, and Henry Moran.  Cousins, Johnny Smith, Jim True, Edith Lowther, Billy Moran, Bobby Moran, Patty Moran, Vivian True Harvey, and Nancy True Streets.

She had many special and true friends, Donna Weese of Beverly, Robin Price, Glen and Bryan Morgan and the late Diane Stoneking Morgan, Patsy and Marvin Hershey, LuAnn McDowell all of Elkins.  Mary Jo Grimm of Clarksburg, Vera and Keith Gillum and Sandy Murphy of Buckhannon.

Jacqueline graduated from Philip Barbour High School, Class of 1969 and retired from the WVDOH of Philippi, WV.  She was a Baptist until moving back home to Barbour county and passing of her dear cousin Vivian Harvey she joined Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed watching Gather Gospel Music, Joel Osteen, James Merritt, Jentzen Franklin, Joyce Meyers and reading her bible.  She attended the Way of Holiness Church.  She was a devoted Christian, loving mother and grandmother, loyal friend and always helping others.  In honor of Jacqueline’s wishes she will be cremated. A Graveside service will be held October 17, 2021 at 3pm, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Barbour County with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
