Obituary of Mary B. Rager

Mary B. Rager, age 93, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday July 20, 2021 at Holbrook Health Care Center in Buckhannon. She was born April 11, 1928 in Staunton VA, a daughter of the late Guy and Rose Smith Anastachio. She married John Mark Rager who preceded her in death on March 26, 1996. Surviving are two sons, Russell Adams of Kingwood, WV and Mark Allen Rager of Buckhannon, WV; five daughters Joyce Newman of Shady Side, OH, Hazel Alloway of Wheeling, WV, Shirley Dean and husband Darren of Buckhannon, WV, Patricia Jordan and husband Mike of Dillonvale, OH and Roxanne Rager Mallow and husband Eric of Carolina Beach, NC; six grandsons, Anthony and Michael Adams, Robert and Frank Haller, Jeremy and Timothy Wood; six granddaughters, Teresa Cardona, Lisa Newman, Julie Walker, Erika Kolenich, Corina Adams, and Kayla Wood; several great-grandchildren; one sister Rose Albright of SC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Robert Adams; grandson, Carl Newman; granddaughter April Adams; brother William Wheeler; daughter-in-law Lillian Adams; and son-in-law Ron Newman. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting, completing puzzles, and had a love for listening to music. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Will Kerns officiating.
